Trimble R980 User Training Session for the Marine Department
From May 18 to 21, 2026, the Surveying Instruments Division conducted a comprehensive training session on the Trimble R980 GNSS receiver and the Trimble TSC710 controller for officers of the Marine Department at the Porestva Hotel Sriracha in Chonburi Province.
The program began with a lecture covering essential surveying methodologies and the basics of operating satellite receivers. Following the theoretical introduction, participants engaged in hands-on field training where they practiced coordinate measurement using Static, Real-Time Kinematic (RTK), and Post-Processed Kinematic (PPK) Surveying Techniques. The practical session also included operating the Trimble R980 with the Trimble TDL450H external radio, after which the officers learned to seamlessly process all collected coordinate data in Trimble Business Center (TBC).
By the end of the training, the attendees had developed a deeper understanding of advanced surveying principles, equipping them to utilize the acquired data to further enhance and accelerate their ongoing projects.
